Good to know
How do I get there, and how remote is it?+
The house sits on a quiet wooded rise just outside Lotus — about an hour from Sacramento, 2.5 hours from the Bay Area, and 15 minutes from Placerville. It sits on a quiet wooded rise with a gravel drive; you'll have full directions and a gate/lock code before arrival.
How many people can stay?+
The house sleeps six: two bedrooms (a king primary suite and a second bedroom) plus a bonus room with a full-size pull-out couch that sleeps two. Three full bathrooms.
Is there Wi-Fi and cell service?+
Yes — fast Wi-Fi throughout, fine for streaming and a remote workday. Cell coverage in the valley varies by carrier, so Wi-Fi calling is your friend.
When's the best time to come?+
Summer for peak rafting and warm swims (it books out first). Fall for Goldilocks weather and a quiet river. Spring for the biggest whitewater, and winter for total stillness and wine-country quiet. Rafting season generally runs late spring through fall.
Check-in, pets, and policies?+
Standard check-in is mid-afternoon and checkout mid-morning, with flexibility when the calendar allows. Minimum stay is typically two nights. Reach out about pets and any special requests — we'll do our best. Full house rules and cancellation terms come with your booking confirmation.
